If you don't love the subject matter, your video will suffer. A good fanvid normally follows and logical sequence and can grab you with a 'story' whether it's real or imagined. It's not necessarily about the special effects. A good video will have the appropriate music and the clips will match both the lyrics and mood. Most often, Timing is key to a successful video too. Making them can be a real stress reliever. It's very important to have fun and give yourself at least a few hours to put it aside and then look it over with a fresh perspective...yeah, I'm learning that hard way! But I'm learning that!
