Why is it the car can supply this amplifier with the max power it uses (350 amps) and a circut board at home can only supply between 10-20 amps to whatever needs it? I'm really into speakers, but I want to set them up in my house not a car. The thing is 1 circut board can only supply 2400 watts at 240v, which is 10 amps. I'll easily reach 2400 watts if I keep using car audio! So why is this?

Dec 4, 2008 - to bad the majority of what this man is saying is a load of crap. the amp retains the current in caps. just as you would with an external cap. the porblem with that is once you have a hard bass note you drain the caps. and if you continue playing heavy bass they do not recharge quick enough. you cant draw from " both " systems at the same time it all comes through the same point.

Do you think that he is making it all up to sound smart? Also have you seen the escalade that Steve Meade did with two of those in it? It works and sounds good with very good mid/highs. Also they power 8 18in subs which take a lot of power if you weren't aware, But sence your so damn smart i guess that you would know that. Dont argue next time
