Jun 20, 2008 - Landing downwind in high winds!? I bet this guy had his license revoked, much less ever being hired by anyone to fly corporate jets again.

Jul 14, 2008 - If you want to find out more about this incident and the pilot who flew it into the water, just do a Google search for the tail number: OY-JETIn short, the company which owned this plane, (Weibel Scientific Inc.) and the pilot who flew it (Erik Larsen), have both been an embarrassment to the aviation community on more than one occasion! This plane was written off as a total loss. But at least they have a sense of humor, with the replacement plane registered as OY-WET!

Jul 15, 2008 - DUMBSHIT. I hope he never gets to fly again. Did you see the speed at which they touched down? WAY too fucking fast. Only an idiot will land downwind. He should have gone to an alternate airport or landed the opposite direction like he should have done.

Jul 16, 2008 - This is completly normal, its the CTAPSBT. The Cessna tactical attack plane speed boat thingy. Its helping us win the war on terror and short runways everywhere.

Jul 16, 2008 - because you live in a village, not atlantic city, and are not danish

Jul 20, 2008 - was it the fucking pilot? or just 'forgot' to turn it off?? kill the bastard

Jul 23, 2008 - So i talked to a Citation mechanic this evening, and he is telling me that the engine is automatically trying to restart as it is all screwed up and thinking it flamed out - which it did I am sure. Tough engine, i thought it would haved cato'd by now.
BoostedEH2 Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - all pilots know to kill the engine and power after anything...this guy was just stupid
hooliganici Says:

Aug 13, 2008 - Funny, if they were in the air flying and it flamed out, it probably wouldn't restart haha.

Sep 6, 2008 - It gets better. Williams International and/or Rolls Royce (I forget which) recovered both engines and they still ran. Whoever it was had them mounted on a test stand and uses them as a marketing prop (or at least they did as of January 2007)IIRC the hot section was pretty ate up from all the water going through it, but the rest of the engine was not too bad off. There was a video circulating for awhile that had pictures of the inspection.
mdmf007 Says:
Sep 6, 2008 - It amazes me how much and how little a turbine can take. Ive seen ducks, coats, hats and helmets go into intakes without damaging the engine. On the other hand I have seen car keys, styrofoam cups and chunks of wood destroy one as well.amazing. I would bet that those engines, had they not been labeled as crashed, sould still be used in flight reliably.
