my two cents ... I suffer from mental illness and a SEVERE anger problem. I've found that when I have a positive outlet for my agression through training and fighting in MMA events, I can better deal with day to day life. However, when I don't have those things, I find myself losing control very easily, or going out and looking for streetfights. I feel Crafty Dog has very good points, and if you're like me, or even if you'r not, you should hear what he has to say. Check out dogbrothers.com

Jun 16, 2008 - While the Lorenzian view of aggression is often found to be untrue scientifically, it is clearly seen that aggression is a part of us. It is often a reflection of frustration, but aggression in and of itself is a survival function. Overly timid creatures do not survive, whereas animals that protect themselves (aggressive [social] creatures) procreate and survive.
