Film clips from the 1927 film classic, "IT" that features the ultimate flapper, Clara Bow. In the film, she is a sweet and sassy clerk at a department store where she meets the store's powerful owner and falls for him on first sight. She decides he is the man for her but there is one small detail... she must convince him that she's Ms. Right too.Clara Bow invented the notion of sex on the silver screen. She was the first actress who visibly flaunted her sex appeal and, in turn, became the most talked-about resident of Hollywood. Idolized by Louise Brooks in the 20s, Marilyn Monroe in the 50s, and Madonna in the 80s, Clara was an icon of sexual freedom for women everywhere.The Beatles song "Honey Pie" was released in 1968 on their White Album. It was inspired by the British music-hall style and was composed entirely by Paul McCartney. The musical score for the end credits is from a 78 record "Pals, Just Pals" by Al Alberts & His Orchestra, 1928.I enjoy silent films and old 78s plus Edison cylinder recordings so I put it all together in one vid for YouTube.

Jul 30, 2008 - Paul wrote this song & I believe it was intended for his girlfriend, Linda Eastman. I always saw a flapper from the 1920s when I heard this song so that was my starting vision.
