Jul 14, 2008 - that happened to me once, plus a friend got a ticket from someone he worked with, it was free, we found out why, it was fake ... you can usually go to the box office before game time and get a few tickets... today was free t-shirt day!

Jul 14, 2008 - Cry about it. This must really bother u if u have to post a YouTube video on it. heres a thought, why dont u just buy a ticket the right way and maybe u wont have to deal with phony ones? or r u just tryng to stir up more controversy involving police?
LITTLELEAGUECUBS2008 Says:
Jul 17, 2008 - He is only stating the facts. And the fact is the Cubs allow known ticket scalpers to come on to their property , ask fans who are leaving for their tickets ( which are untorn and look new ) and then sell them to other fans as good tickets . The police , even after knowing of this crime, will not arrest the criminal , only send them on their way. It is a crime , and should be treated like any other fraud would be. And that is a trip to the pokey :)
LITTLELEAGUECUBS2008 Says:
Jul 17, 2008 - And yes it is the fault of the fan from buying tickets from such unsavory characters in the first place. But some times people do arrive late and ticket brokers have no tickets available.

Aug 14, 2008 - Completely untrue- the Cubs Crowd management group has upwards of 25 employees patroling the exterior of the building 4 hours before first pitch- they are in fact trained to do one of two things: inform the proper law enforcment agency of the violation or simply ask the scalper to cross the street as selling any ticket, legitimate or not, is not allowed on Wrigley property. Unfortunately it is impossible to be at all places at all times- these transactions slip through the cracks but not nearly

Aug 14, 2008 - Not completely untrue cporter0507. In the Wrigleyville area there is a upswing of pickpockets and counterfeit tickets, much of the crime unreported. Also selling of residential parking permits on the upswing. There are better solutions we are working on with the neighborhood groups and the alderman.

Aug 19, 2008 - 25 ?? NO CHANCE. There may be 25 employees walking around, but they do not all deal with scalpers. And here is what really happens . Once the Cubs sell out of tickets, and I mean after the tickets are returned from the 2 teams and Cubs premium sends their unsold tickets back to the box office,THEN after all those are sold (which is anywhere between first pitch and the 2-3 inning) there are dozens of scalpers and others selling USED/SCANNED tickets. Cubs box office is closed , and security is gone.
ballhawknet Says:
Aug 19, 2008 - Walk around the park after the game starts and you will see scalpers...well not really scalpers ...thieves ...at every exit ...20-100 feet away asking fans for their tickets as they leave early. And alot of fans leave early , some as soon as the 2-3 innings. The thieves then sell these tickets which are untorn and look new to unsuspecting fans arriving late . Cubs box office is closed , security is gone , and NO ONE does a thing. And it happens everyday , ON THE CUBS PROPERTY
