Both, however, are testable hypotheses...It is rare scientists stumble on the answer on the first attempt. It is the honest way in which science works that allows our knowledge to progress in the correct direction. I don't know why some people are so fearful of science.Regards

Therefore they fear science because it discards some parts of their "sacred" books. And also, most of the time when it is known that God did not "create the earth in a week :)" people tend to reject all spiritual truths that were included in these "sacred" books.
