Though sometimes Vivi is into cooing too much, and that's when it gets a little tiring! Haha, though most of the time she's quiet ~ do your pigeons coo, too?

Some of then even coo when you hold them in your hand. Once I held a black cock in my hand, close to my face. Suddenly he bit my face! I called him a scoundrel and put him down. He started to coo at once, and then he had another go at my hand. Yet he was very affectionate as well.

And when I went on a holiday, she had been slightly sad ~ I really think she feels good when she can protect her eggs from me every now and then, because once she has done it she looks so proud of herself! Funny thing is, she NEVER pecks at my boyfriend, because in her eyes he is her mate! A little twisted, I know..Do you have many pigeons? Are they all more or less tame?

Nov 23, 2008 - Alas, I do not have pigeons anymore, as I live in an apartment where pigeon keeping is banned. These videos on YT bring back memories. My birds were tame, even a hen which was naturally shy. That took a long time to achieve. She would not fight my hand, but she ate out of it when she was tame at last. There are many funny pigeon videos on YT, a few: De Byter, Shamu, Stich, Oink the Peanut Eater, Squeaky, Scooter, Dinkster.

Of those I named Squeaky loves Kung Fu fighting, Shamu is a very aggressive hen, she lives in the same loft above the funny hooligan De Byter; Scooter is a lovely Satinette, an Owl; Stich fights on the ground and attacks feet; Dinkster is the 'meanest pigeon in the world'. If you type, for instance, 'Scooter pigeon', you will get to the right video without having to search through false hits.

Nov 23, 2008 - Hi! :) Well, when I found her there was something wrong with her, and then it turned out she'd had a broken leg and it was too late to fix it! :( The vet wanted to put her down, but I didn't let her ~ Vivi the pigeon is doing really well these days, and doesn't seem to mind that bad leg!
